Who is Ady Smith

From 1983 Ady has competed in the British Championship Enduros every year until the end of 2000. As well as enduros, Ady has competed in supercross and supermoto at national and international level.

Ady’s first year with KTM was in 2000 as a rider. He competed in the British Enduro Championship finishing 2nd overall on an EXC 200. He also won the British Cross Country Championship(Fast EDDY GBXC) on the same bike.

The year after, 2001, KTM Motorsport manager, Kurt Nicoll, asked Ady to have a go at the British Supermoto Championship aboard an LC4 620 Supercomp. Halfway through the season Ady was up to second in the Championship and KTM promised a factory 660 Ralleye engine form the Team’s Dakar Rally Department(ex Fabrizio Meoni). Engine now fitted, Ady went on to win the Open British Supermoto Championship.

In 2002 KTM supplied Ady with his first KTM 660 Factory replica. The bike was unbelievably fast but was to powerful for some of the tighter tracks and that year Ady finished second.

In 2003 KTM supported Ady with the then new easier to ride KTM 660 Factory replica(72bhp) twin pipe version. Ady regained his confidence and won the British Championship again.

Ady then continued riding the British Supermoto Championship until the end of 2009. Then finally retired from racing.

Ady never finished lower than 4th overall at the end of any Supermoto series.

Ady started the Enduro schools(now called Enduro Experience) in January 2003 with only a van, box trailer and gazibo and has continued to build the business up to what it is now.
